  2. Many hydrogel lenses are sent from the laboratory in a glass vial sealed with 
  3. a metal cap and a silicone stopper.  
  4. Some are supplied with a screw cap.   
  5. You must be careful when removing 
  6. the metal cap as it is easy to cut 
  7. your fingers.   It doesnΓÇÖt positively 
  8. impress the patient if you bleed.

  10. Use the back end of a pair of tweezers 
  11. or other similar object to pull the 
  12. metal tab back, break the metal band, 
  13. and remove the band.   Then remove 
  14. the cap.
